At Get Handy Workshops, we’re on a mission to empower people — particularly women — to gain confidence and hands-on skills with tools, DIY projects, and trades. We run beginner-friendly workshops in carpentry, tiling, flat-pack assembly, and more, all taught in a supportive, inclusive environment.

Who We’re Looking For

We are seeking trainers with experience in trade, construction, DIY, or related fields who:

  • Have hands-on expertise with tools, carpentry, tiling, or similar trades

  • Enjoy teaching and mentoring beginners in a clear, patient, and engaging way

  • Are confident working with small groups or individuals

  • Value safety, professionalism, and a fun learning environment

  • Can commit to delivering high-quality workshops on scheduled dates

Previous teaching experience is a bonus, but not essential — what matters most is your skill, passion, and ability to make people feel confident and supported on the tools.

Roles Available

  • Workshop Trainer (Casual/Part-Time)
    Lead hands-on DIY, carpentry, tiling, and other workshops for beginners and intermediate students.

  • Mentor & Specialist Trainer
    Deliver more advanced or intensive courses, and support students who are progressing toward apprenticeships or trades careers.
